CJFC – Player Code of Conduct
I understand that a condition of being a registered player of the Cranbourne Junior Football Club is that I am required to maintain a standard of behaviour and conduct that is in the best interests of the Club and the game of Australian Rules Football.
I understand that I will:
1. Follow and adhere to the Rules and Policies of the Cranbourne Junior Football Club and the South East Juniors Football League.
2. Not participate in any physical violence in any form against team-mates, opposition players or other people.
3. Take responsibility to ensure that all social media posts (such as Facebook, instagram, Snapchat, TeamApp) are appropriate and respectful. I will not post inappropriate comments about individuals, players, club or league officials which if said in person during the playing of a game would result in disciplinary action being taken.
4. Always respect and demonstrate that respect to Club Officials, Coaches, Volunteers, Parents/Guardians, Team-mates, and all representatives of sponsors and the South East Juniors Football League, Umpires and opposing Clubs.
5. Respect that the Umpire is always right and will accept their decisions at all times.
6. Refrain from swearing or using abusive language during or after a game.
7. Display good sportsmanship when playing or training and treat all players as you would like to be treated.
8. Avoid criticism of the efforts of team-mates and will always encourage and applaud the endeavour of my teammates.
9. Understand and respect that I am a member of a team and that at times, I may be asked to carry out tasks associated with team rules that may not be the result of actions undertaken by myself.
10. Understand that failure to follow the Club Code of Conduct may result in penalties being imposed by the Coach or Club. The penalties depend on the severity of the breach of the code of conduct in the form of bench time, missing the rest of the game or the loss of one or more games. If the offence is repeated or a serious breach of the code of conduct, the matter will be referred to the club disciplinary committee (which consists of the club executive) and may jeopardise my membership of the Club.
